WHAT IS SSC-JE?

  • SSC Junior Engineer (JE) is conducted by SSC for the recruitment of Junior Engineers (JEs) in various branches of Engineering including Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Quantity Surveying & Contracts. The exam is conducted to recruit candidates for Group-B (non-gazetted) posts in level-6 (INR 35,400-1,12,400) of the pay matrix of the seventh Central Pay Commission. SSC JE is a national-level exam organized for the recruitment of candidates for the post of junior engineers in the Department or Ministries of Central Government.

    • (a) Paper I(Computer Based Test-Objective Paper) (b) Paper II(Written Test-Paper)
  • Paper-I (Computer Based Test-Objective Paper)

    • (a) General Intelligence & Reasoning = 50 Marks. (b) General Awareness = 50 Marks. (c) General Engineering (Civil & Structural)=100 Marks
  • Paper-II(Computer Based Test-Objective Paper)

    • (a) General Engineering(Civil & Structural)=100 Marks.

TIMING OF EXAM:-

  • Paper-I (Duration of objective type paper of engineering)

    • [Morning Shift (10:00 AM-12:PM] ) [Afternoon Shift (2;00PM-4:00PM])
  • Paper-II(Duration of objective type paper of engineering)

    2 hrs Duration Conventional paper of “Engineering’’
  • No Entry is Allowed after 9:30 AM for Morning Shift & After 1:30 PM for Afternoon Shift.
